It’s January and that means New Year’s Resolutions. Diets, gym memberships, or becoming more introspective are all common ones, but what about working on cars? Here are some New Year’s Resolution ideas for your vehicle.
1. Clean your car.
It’s easy to let junk build up in your vehicle. This year, stop that from happening. Clean your interior and then keep a trash bag inside your car. This way, you can just put any garbage you have right in there rather than letting it accumulate. Check out our previous blog on cleaning your car for more tips.
2. Fix any damage.
It’s easy to procrastinate fixing dents in your car. Make 2017 the year you repair any you’ve been putting off. The cost might be cheaper than you think, especially for smaller dents.
3. Change your oil.
Get an oil change every 5,000 to 7,000 miles. Any more than that and your car will suffer performance issues. Make a resolution this year to check and change your oil when needed.
4. Don’t talk or text when driving.
Despite PSAs and news about crashes, many people still text or call while driving. Doing so puts lives, including their own, at risk. Make it a point to put your phone away when behind the wheel. If you consistently need to talk to people while on the road, purchase a hands-free machine or connect your phone to your car’s Bluetooth.
And here’s a bonus resolution: If you’re going car shopping in 2017, come to Capital Motor Cars. We do all the negotiating and paperwork for you. We’ll even deliver your car right to your door. Save some time this new year with Capital Motor Cars and focus on your other resolutions.
