19 For โ€™19: Get Ready For The Hottest New and Redesigned Vehicles Of 2019

There are still a few more months left in 2018, but as autumn arrives so does the new crop of 2019 cars.

Excited to see what next year will have in store? Check out these 19 redesigned or brand-new models that are bound to turn heads on the road in 2019.

1. Audi A8

Hailed as a technological tour de force, the new Audi A8 just might be the most advanced car to hit the roads this fall.

Bigger, smoother and stronger than the previous A8 model that it replaces, its suite of intelligent features includes Audi Intelligence active suspension.

Scanning the road with a forward-looking camera, an electric motor at each corner can raise or lower the wheel, allowing the car to follow the shape of the road and float effortlessly over any irregularities.

The 2019 Audi A8 includes all the standard active safety features, such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and automatic emergency braking, plus an array of unique features for parking safety.

Overall, itโ€™s a high-class luxury vehicle inside and out, a powerful car that handles well on all terrain.

2. BMW X2

Bold in style and on the road, this compact crossover is sleeker and more innovative in design than the X1. Itโ€™s fitted with a 228-hp 2.00-liter turbocharged engine, all-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission.

The running gear comes straight from the X1, but it rides lower and its neat, sporty design will appeal to fashion-conscious drivers.

It offers a balanced performance on the road, with more athletic flair than the X1.

On the inside, itโ€™s comfortable and intuitive, with generous cargo space.

3. BMW X7

The upcoming X7 will be BMWโ€™s largest SUV yet. The company has played close to the chest with details about the new model but it promises to be an impressive luxury vehicle, a seven-seater with power to spare: 455hp from a 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine.

4. BMW Z4

Sometimes good things come in small packages!

The long-awaited BMW Z4, which debuted as a concept at the Pebble Beach Concours dโ€™Elegance last year, has finally shown up in its final production version.

Itโ€™s the model of BMWโ€™s new โ€œform language:โ€ cleaner, sharper and more spare in its lines, with a low center of gravity and a few unique First Edition touches.

And itโ€™s not only good looks: this roadster can hit 60mph in under 4.4 seconds.

5. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

The C7 ZR1 just might be the best Corvette yet.

Its supercharged LT5 motor gives a whopping 755hp, 117 more horsepower than the C6 ZR1, and it boasts 41% more airflow.

This car is born to run: GM promises 0-60mph in 2.9 seconds and a 10.6-second quarter mile.

6. Chevrolet Malibu RS

Like previous models, the 2019 Malibu RS is a neat, likable hybrid that steers and handles well. This yearโ€™s trim levels offer the same functionality with a more upscale exterior design, including 18-inch alloy wheels and blacked-out trim.

7. Genesis G70

With the G70, Genesis aims straight into a crowded market of luxury four-door sedans. Itโ€™s ready to stand out for its balance of athleticism and refinement, combining purposeful simplicity with a unique look.

Genesis embraced a โ€œless is moreโ€ approach with this car, focusing on rock-solid fundamentals rather than flashy (but often unused) tech options.

8. Honda Insight

Back in 1999, the Honda Insight was Americaโ€™s first gas-electric hybrid. Since then, Toyota has so dominated the hybrid scene that the Insight has been mostly overlooked, but the new 2019 Insight is poised to turn the tables.

An upscale, elegantly styled sedan, the Insight also happens to deliver 55/49mpg in city or highway, a notch above the Prius. It claims lowest-in-class for interior noise, and itโ€™s a light, pleasant drive with electric-assisted steering.

9. Hyundai Santa Fe

Quieter and more refined, the fourth-generation Santa Fe features a boldly redesigned exterior and improved powertrain. Its vertically mounted rear shock absorbers provide a much smoother ride than the previous generation.

10. Hyundai Veloster

The latest Veloster keeps the quirks and unique design of previous models (the driverโ€™s side back door is still nowhere to be seen) but offering a much improved driving experience.

More practical than a straight-up sports car, the second-generation Velostar has smoothed out some of the wrinkles from the first generation. While the engine isnโ€™t much changed, its stiffer body and new rear suspension gives it more steady and capable handling.

11. Kia Forte

The 2019 Kia Forte is bigger in every dimension than last yearโ€™s model. It offers improved fuel economy (41/31mpg) and classy features as standard: dual-zone climate control and Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.

Kia is still going strong with manual transmission. The Forte offers six-speed manual on the base FE trim, in addition to Kiaโ€™s first CVT.

12. Lexus ES

The seventh-generation Lexus EX is poised to lead the field of luxury sedans. Spacious, comfortable and strikingly elegant, it boasts a unique โ€œswing-valveโ€ shock absorber that smoothes out any bump in the road.

Plus, it will be the first mass-market vehicle to replace side mirrors with cameras.

13. Infiniti QX50

A comprehensive redesign, the latest QX50 sits on a new front-drive-based platform with an advanced engine that responds to every situation, and the complete suite of active driver aids and intelligent safety features.

Styling on previous generations was lackluster, to be honest, but this one is classically good-looking with a stunning interior to boot.

14. Nissan Kicks

The perky Nissan Kicks is a small crossover thatโ€™s almost compacted enough to be a big hatchback. Its expressive exterior and cheerful, low-key interior make it an attractive package, especially for drivers on a budget. (The basic S trim starts at $19,000.)

For such a compact crossover, it gets the job done with comfortable seating for five adults (one more than last yearโ€™s model) and ample cargo space.

Under the hood, itโ€™s not much changed from its predecessor, the Juke, but it boasts more space, better fuel efficiency and a more cohesive appearance.

15. Nissan Altima

Nissan Altima design

All-wheel drive and a sleek new look set the 2019 Altima apart from the crowd. Nissan hasnโ€™t announced its fuel economy yet but promises significant improvement from last year, plus quieter running and smoother handling.

16. Ram 1500

The most recent Ram 1500 is larger than its predecessor but 225 pounds lighter. Equipped with a mild hybrid system for higher fuel economy (21/17mpg), it has a towing capacity of 12,750 pounds and loading 2,300lb.

It also offers a softer ride than before, with upgraded shock absorbers and four-corner air suspension.

17. Toyota Corolla Hatchback

The Corolla has an aura of being practical, reliable, affordable, and pretty boring.

This yearโ€™s version is out to change that. Its aggressive, eye-catching design is a clear statement of a new direction, and its sportier performance backs it up. One unique feature is CVT transmission supported by physical launch gear.

18. Toyota Supra

The Toyota Supra and BMW Z4 have a lot in common. In fact, they boast the same engine and transmission. So itโ€™s easy to predict that the most recent Supra will be a formidable performer with speed and power to spare.

A 50:50 weight distribution and high torsional rigidity were primary objectives in its development. Key visual features are carried over from its predecessory, giving it an instantly recognizable look.

19. Volkswagen Arteon

This all-new model is set to be Volkswagenโ€™s new flagship sedan, slotting above the Passat and replacing the CC in Volkswagenโ€™s lineup. Itโ€™s an attractive midsize four-door hatch with a bevy of sweet features, especially on the higher trim levels.

On the inside, itโ€™s spacious and quiet, with a cabin lined out in high-quality materials. Itโ€™s got plenty of power from its 2.0-liter turbo-four and distinct driver modes to play with.
